Two Live Music Events Happening At Stinkweeds This Week
Friday, October 21st
Moone Records Presents
RANDALL SENA (Lompoc, CA)
LONNA KELLEY (Phoenix, AZ)
ALABAMA DEATHWALK (El Paso, TX)
MEDICAL (Phoenix, AZ)
RANDALL SENA creates gentle songs with personal themes that evoke the emotions we feel at our most vulnerable. His strong melodies and hooks are well rounded out with atmospheric textures and a voice that gives all of it room to breath, while maintaining a strong grasp the parts of us that love a good narrative.
ALABAMA DEATHWALK creates energetic folk pop with a youthful lilt and emotional lyrics wise beyond their years. With evocative imagery and strong metaphors, these songs have just the right amount of treasures on the surface, with plenty more to discover with studied listening.
Local support from:
LONNA KELLEY (feat. members of Cherie Cherie and Gene Tripp)
a live audio/visual set from MEDICAL
Jon Utter (of Bear State) DJing between sets.
October 21st – 8:30pm

Sacred Bones & Stinkweeds Presents
MARISSA NADLER
We are beyond thrilled to host one of our absolute favorite artists, for an intimate lunchtime performance, before she takes the stage at Comerica, opening for Ghost! MARISSA NADLER has been recording and performing hauntingly beautiful music for over 16 years now. She is one of a handful of artists that Stinkweeds always makes an effort to keep on our shelves. This is often reserved for those who create timeless music that doesn’t respond to passing trends, or those who continue to push their creativity, while maintaining all the elements that make them a unique voice. Marissa Nadler has managed to do all of these things. Her newest album, Strangers (Sacred Bones Records), sounds as fresh and exiting to us as her earlier releases, like Ballads of Living and Dying (2004) or Little Hells (2009). This will be a rare opportunity to experience this music in a small, intimate environment.
