Saturday, May 27th will be the 7th year for Short Shorts with Short Leash, all local short film festival! Stinkweeds is teaming up with Theater13 Film Studio and Short Leash Hot Dogs for another evening of local food, film, and music. Along with all the festivities, Stinkweeds will be running a 10% off Sale on all soundtracks.
This festival features about a dozen films, all from local Arizona film makers. You’ll be blown away by the quality, creativity and variety of films coming from this talented tight nit community of artists. Every year, we see new films from Short Shorts veteran film makers who have honed their skills over the years, as well as films from newer, clearly talented film makers, willing to take chances with their art. It’s amazing what some people can do with a low budget and a lot of help from friends.

We’ll have live music from local rockers, Cheap Hotels! Music Starts at 7pm
Food (of course) will be provided by the inspiration for this whole festival, Short Leash Hot Dogs. This place has become a staple of Phoenix food. I can’t go more than a couple weeks without getting my hands on a delicious Short Leash hot dog, wrapped in a warm naan bread, served with fancy fixings like prosciutto, arugula and goat cheese, or pinto beans, sauteed onions and green chilis. You don’t get a better concession stand than that!
Seating is first come, first serve and we recommend you bring your own blankets, chairs, couches, beds, whatever makes you comfortable.
Oh! And, don’t forget to wear your short shorts!
Event is Free and open to all ages (However, some of the films might have a little potty language and some intense scenes. We’ll do our best to keep it just slightly under an R rating).
Event starts at 6pm. Movies start when the sun goes down.
