As we all know, music venues have been one of the hardest hit industries during this pandemic. They were the first to close and will be the last to open, with very few options to maintain revenue. We’re hoping to direct some of the attention given to local record stores on Record Store Day to this situation that has affected many of our good friends and an entire industry that is part of the heart and soul of record store culture.

Stinkweeds is offering chances to win two awesome prizes. All we need from you is proof that you’ve donated $10 or more to #SaveOurStages! For every $10 you donate, your name will be entered to win. So, the more you donate, the better your chances! There are three prizes and we’re giving you the choice to tell us which one you are interested in. If you donate $20 or more, you can request to be entered for more than one of the prizes! Basically, every $10 gets you entered!

We’ve been selling these limited prints to benefit the music MusiCares organization since September. We’ve decided to make a few of them available to some lucky winners who donate to this other amazing cause, helping out musicians and the industry.
This photo was taken by our friend Isaac Ramos in 1996 at the Stinkweeds in Tempe and only just now printed for this limited run. Elliott Smith played two shows at our little shop (’96 & ’97) before his career skyrocketed. We wanted all the sales of this print to go towards causes that help musicians. Elliott Smith left this world way too soon and we can’t help but think that more can always be done to make things a little easier for artists, so we can keep enjoying the beauty and vision that they’ve devoted their life to sharing with everyone.
